Sarah Pirtle

Sarah Pirtle was the founding editor of PIO! in 1987, and she ran the first CMN office. Her son Ryan grew up in the nest of CMN, inspired by all the songs and people. She made five recordings with Jill Person and A Gentle Wind, starting with Two Hands Hold the Earth in 1984. Her books Linking Up and Better Together: Caring and Including Instead of Bullying, have curricular ideas for how songs build community, and they each come with CDs of over forty songs. She received the Magic Penny Award in 2007.
