Big Wheels. Big Bird. Big Backyard. From a sidewalk in a neighborhood to the sound of silence, Michelle Bloom & Co. launch the album Big Backyard inspired by the music of the 1970's, classic children's books and vinyl LPs drawing inspiration from a photo in her baby book as the album cover. Michelle Bloom grew up in New Mexico where she found a camp guitar in a historic dude ranch built on an ancient Indian burial ground and spent her summers swimming in the headwaters of the Gila Wilderness. She lives in Sierra Madre, California with her husband artist Scott Nelson and their son, Sawyer.
