Bio
Sam Tsui and Casey Breves are a married singing and songwriting duo who live in Los Angeles with their daughter Elaia and cat Alfie. Their debut children’s album “Why Do We Sing” explores vocal music traditions around the world and accompanies their children’s book of the same name, illustrated by Tsui and published by HarperCollins in 2024. They are both graduates of Yale University where they met singing in the same a cappella group. Sam has been hailed as an internet singing sensation, and was among the first musicians to establish a popular music channel on YouTube (3+ million subscribers), inspiring an international fan base that call themselves the #Samily. Casey performs as both a pop and classical vocalist. He sang for three years with the GRAMMY Award‐winning vocal ensemble Chanticleer. Together, their original songs and covers have received billions of views on Youtube and hundreds of millions of streams on Spotify, and on TikTok they’re known for their viral series including “Singing One Song From Every Country” (with nearly 100 million total views) and “Non-Traditional Lullabies” in which the couple rearrange pop songs to sing to their daughter. They are so grateful to be able to share their music and love of singing with audiences around the world.
