AdELA, a South African-born, Florida-raised, Atlanta native, is a dynamic and versatile artist passionate about music and storytelling. With a career spanning multiple genres, AdELA has transitioned her creativity and talents into the world of children's music through her Hunny & Koko brand.
AdELA's journey began as a singer, songwriter, and rapper, earning accolades such as an RIAA Certified Gold credit as a co-writer and performer on Meek Mill’s “Made It From Nothing.” Her independent releases, including the EP Dreamers and Thinkers, showcased collaborations with industry legends like Royce Da 5’9, Skyzoo, Fat Joe, and Kool G Rap, earning her international chart success.
In addition to her artistry, AdELA has an impressive portfolio in sync licensing, having written and performed custom music for brands like HBO Max, Netflix, and ABC. Her work includes "Octane" for Ubisoft’s Rider’s Republic trailer and "Champion," the official song of the 2022 Stanley Cup for the NHL. Her efforts earned her the Best Newcomer Award at the Production Music Awards in 2022.
Now, as the creator of Hunny & Koko, a whimsical and educational brand inspired by her beloved dogs, AdELA is focusing on bringing joy and inspiration to children. Through books and music, she aims to encourage friendship, creativity, and positivity. Her upcoming children’s album, Chase The Happy, continues this mission, blending her expertise in music production with heartfelt themes designed to uplift young listeners.
